Return Policy

Money Back Guarantee

Sonos offers a 30 day Money Back Guarantee. We are confident that you will love your new Sonos product, however, if you are unsatisfied for any reason, simply let us know within 30 days. We will pick up the product free of cost at the original delivery address (in the Sonos Service Region) and refund the full purchase price.

Important Note: The return policy has changed to 30 days. It is no longer 100 days. This change was implemented in mid-2024.

Geographic Variations

The standard Sonos return policy for USA purchases is 45 days. In some countries around the world it’s different. The return period varies by country and is based on where you purchase the product.

How to Initiate a Return

You can return a Sonos product using our self-service Product Returns page. In order to be eligible for a return, your Sonos product must be covered by our return policy.

Steps to Return:

  1. Open the Product Returns page
  2. Choose Get a label in the New Product Return section
  3. Provide your email address as well as your order number, then choose Submit

Once you’ve submitted an order that’s eligible for a return, you’ll receive an email with additional instructions on how to send your Sonos product back to us. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, make sure to check your spam folder.

  • Free shipping, free 45-day returns. This offer applies to orders shipped within the continental United States and Canada on all sonos.com purchases. Request a return or exchange within 45-days and a free return label will be emailed to you.
  • Products must be returned in new or as-new condition
  • All original packaging and accessories must be included

Refund Policy

Processing Time

If you have returned the product under the 30 day return policy, provided your return meets the needed conditions, you may expect to see a credit to your account within 10 – 15 working days. Credit will be issued in the same manner as your original purchase payment.

Gift Card Policy

Sonos Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, are not eligible for return, cannot be applied as payment to any account, cannot be used to purchase additional Sonos Gift Cards

If you have received your Sonos Gift Card through the purchase of a promotional bundle, and you return the other elements of the promotional bundle via the Sonos return program, you do not need to return the Sonos Gift Card. Instead, the Sonos Gift Card associated with the promotion will be automatically cancelled.

Exchange Policy

Warranty vs. Returns

Warranty Coverage

Sonos offers a one (1) year full warranty on all products sold. The Sonos Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in every Sonos product for one (1) year from the date of shipment from Sonos or the date of the original retail purchase from an Authorized Sonos Dealer.

If you have a valid claim under the Sonos Warranty and have returned the product in accordance with the procedure set out below, we will repair or replace the defective product free of cost.

There are some exclusions to the Sonos Warranty, including but not limited to:

  • Problems that result from external causes such as accident, abuse or misuse
  • Use that is not in accordance with Sonos’ product instructions
  • Products with missing or altered serial numbers
  • Products which have had their housings opened or are otherwise tampered with
  • Problems caused by using third party accessories, parts, or components
Warranty Transferability

Your Sonos Warranty is transferable with ownership, so if you give or sell the Sonos product to someone during the guarantee period, it’s still covered.
