Return Policy

Eligibility Requirements

We welcome returns on change of mind purchases subject to the following conditions:

  • Returns must be made within 30 days from the date of purchase
  • Items must be in new and original condition as purchased, with all labels/tags attached
  • Original sale receipt or order confirmation must be presented as proof of purchase
  • Items cannot be labeled “Final Sale” or “Clearance”
Final Sale Exclusions

Returns and exchanges are not available on:

  • Items $20.00 and under labeled “Final Sale”
  • Clearance items
  • Items that were permanently reduced at time of purchase
Special Category Restrictions

For health and safety reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind purchases on:

  • Swimwear
  • Lingerie (excluding bras)

Return Methods

Online Returns

For online purchases, you can return items by:

  1. Happy Returns (Free): Visit a participating Happy Returns location with your QR code – no boxes needed, immediate refund processing
  2. Mail Returns: Use our Returns Center with a $7.95 return shipping label fee
In-Store Returns
  • Online purchases can be returned to any City Chic store for on-the-spot refunds and exchanges
  • In-store purchases must be returned to a City Chic store
  • Valid ID matching the order name is required for in-store returns

Refund Policy

Processing Time

Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days of reaching our warehouse

Refund Method

City Chic will refund using your original payment method, or where appropriate and at City Chic’s sole discretion, on a City Chic credit note. For credit card or PayPal orders, you must present the same payment method and ID in-store.

Promotional Items

If one item is returned that was part of a ‘2 for’ or ‘Spend & Save’ deal, the garment will be refunded at the discounted price or percentage price as calculated by City Chic, not the original full price.

Return Shipping Costs
  • Customers are responsible for the cost of return postage for all returns, except faulty items
  • Mail returns incur a $7.95 return shipping label fee, which will be deducted from your refund amount

Exchange Policy

In-Store Exchanges
  • Exchanges are available at any City Chic store location
  • Same eligibility requirements as returns apply
  • On-the-spot exchanges available with store team assistance
Online Exchange Limitations

We are not able to offer exchanges via our online store. To exchange an item:

  • Visit your local City Chic store, or
  • Return your item and place a new order for the different size, color, or item
Afterpay Orders

For Afterpay orders, you are unable to exchange in store. Please return your item to our online store and place a new order for the different size, color, or item.

Faulty Items

Coverage

Where items are faulty, have been wrongly described, or do not do what they are supposed to:

  • You are welcome to choose between a refund (with proof of purchase), exchange, or credit note
  • City Chic covers all return shipping costs for faulty items
  • Contact our customer service team for assistance

Special Circumstances

Store-to-Door Orders

For Store-to-Door orders:

  • Must be returned in person to a City Chic store
  • Cannot be returned online
  • Same 30-day return window applies
  • Valid ID matching order name required
