Cheaper Than Dirt Return, Refund & Exchange Policy

Return Time Frame

Products may be returned within thirty (30) days of your order date.

Returns of Damaged or Defective Products

Eligibility

If your products arrive damaged or defective, they may be returned to us within thirty (30) days of your order date for a replacement or store credit. This does not include damage to boxes or packaging – only to the products themselves.

Process for Damaged/Defective Returns

1. Email customerservice@cheaperthandirt.com so one of our customer service team members can send you a Return Request form to complete
2. Complete the Return Request form in full. Any damage must be noted in the form, and you must supply pictures documenting the damage
3. Once you complete and return the form, we will review it to determine whether, in our discretion, your products are eligible to be returned
4. If your return is approved, we will send you a pre-paid shipping label so that you can send the damaged products back to us
5. You are responsible for properly packing and securing your products to protect them from damage during transit back to us

Important Requirements

• We will not issue a refund for any damaged or defective products that do not have an approved Return Request form on file
• All returned products are examined upon arrival. Once we receive and examine your return, we will either promptly send you a replacement or issue you appropriate store credit

Returns of Non-Damaged/Non-Defective Products

Eligibility

Products not covered by the damaged or defective products section above may generally be returned within thirty (30) days of your order date.

Exclusions

We do not accept returns of ammunition, food, surplus, and clearance/sales products (including, without limitation, any products displayed on https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/sale-items) unless they are damaged or defective at the time they are delivered to you.

Return Conditions

• To be eligible for a return, non-damaged/non-defective products must still be in their original packaging and may not be used or damaged
• Products showing signs of use or damage to the product will be returned to you at your expense, without a refund

Process for Non-Damaged Returns

1. Email customerservice@cheaperthandirt.com to obtain a Return Authorization Number and prepaid shipping label
2. We will not issue a refund for any products returned to our warehouse that do not have a Return Authorization Number on file

Fees and Refunds

• Non-damaged/non-defective products that are returned will be subject to a restocking fee equal to 25% of the total purchase amount
• All returned products are examined upon arrival. Once we receive, examine, and accept your return, we will issue you appropriate store credit
• The original shipping charges will not be refunded to you, and any shipping charges incurred in returning the products to us will be deducted from your refund

Order Cancellation Policies

Customer Cancellations

You may not cancel or change your order once it has been submitted. Additionally, for your security, we cannot alter any product information or credit card charges after your order has been submitted.

Company Cancellations

We may, in our sole discretion, cancel your order if you do not abide by these Terms of Use. If we cancel your order, you will receive a refund of the full purchase amount less a cancellation fee of $30.00 or 5% of the total purchase amount, whichever is greater.

Shipping Restriction Cancellations

If you attempt to have product shipped to restricted areas, your order will be cancelled and you will be charged a cancellation fee of $30.00 or 5% of the total purchase amount, whichever is greater.

Documentation Requirement Cancellations

If you attempt to have ammunition shipped to Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, or Rhode Island and fail or refuse to provide the required documentation, your order will be cancelled and you will be charged a cancellation fee of $30.00 or 5% of the total purchase amount, whichever is greater.

Refusal to Accept Delivery

By placing an order on CheaperThanDirt.com, you agree to accept delivery of your order at the shipping address designated at checkout. If you fail or refuse to accept delivery of your order, then you will forfeit the full purchase amount, including all taxes and shipping fees, and you will be charged for the cost of shipping the order back to our warehouse. To be clear, you will not receive a refund if you fail or refuse to accept delivery of your order.

Special State Requirements

New York Shipping

Ammunition orders shipped to New York must be shipped to a federal firearms licensee (FFL) or a Registered Seller of Ammunition (RSA), who will perform a state-mandated background check before transferring your ammunition to you. Title to your products will transfer to you only after you have passed the state-mandated background check and the products are physically transferred to you by the FFL or RSA. If you do not pass the state-mandated background check, then we will have the products returned to our warehouse and you will receive a refund of the purchase price minus the original shipping charges, the cost of shipping the order back to our warehouse, and a restocking fee equal to 25% of the total purchase amount.
