Return Policy

Online Orders

Standard Customers: 30 days from delivery date for most items

Millionaire’s Club Members: 60 days from delivery date for most items

In-Store Purchases

Standard Customers: 14 days from date of purchase with original receipt

Millionaire’s Club Members: 30 days from date of purchase with original receipt

Return Methods for Online Orders

Online orders can be returned to our warehouse or returned to a physical Books-A-Million retail location

Return to Warehouse
  1. Email Customer Service at support@booksamillion.com with order ID number, reason for return, and item(s) being returned
  2. A return authorization number and return label will be emailed within 24 hours
  3. Pack items securely, enclose copy of packing slip, and affix provided label
  4. Apply adequate postage for non-paid labels
  5. Returns Department will issue credit once return is processed at warehouse
Return to Store
  1. Print Booksamillion.com In-Store Return Receipt (or screenshot return barcode)
  2. Return purchase with printed receipt to local Books-A-Million store
  3. In-Store Receipt will show Last Return Date and note if product is Non-Returnable
Return Label Policy
  • Non-Paid Labels: Provided for returns where customer changed mind, no longer wants item, ordered wrong item, received item later than expected
  • Paid Labels: Only given for damaged items, wrong items sent by warehouse, duplicate items sent by warehouse

Refund Policy

Refund Methods

Items returned will be refunded to the original payment method

  • Credit/Debit Card: Refund issued to same credit or debit card
  • Gift Card: Credit will be issued back to the gift card
  • Check Payment: Merchandise credit will be issued
Non-Refundable Items

Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable

Gift wrapping services are non-refundable

A 10% re-stocking fee may be applied to large or special orders

Processing Time

Returns Department will issue credit within 24 hours of receipt scan at warehouse

Exchange Policy

Damaged Items

If item arrives damaged, contact customer service to return or request replacement or partial refund

Can also return damaged item to physical Books-A-Million retail location for refund or exchange

If available, item may be replaced with return of damaged item back to warehouse

Millionaire’s Club Member Benefits

If member item is less than $25, replacement may be issued before receiving damaged return

Funko Pop Special Rules

Funko items must be returned before replacement can be issued, even for Millionaire’s Club Card Members, no exceptions

Item Availability

If item is no longer available to replace, refund to original payment method will be issued upon receipt of return

If you wish to keep damaged item, partial refund may be issued

Non-Returnable Items

Digital Products

eBooks or Audio Downloads, once purchased and/or downloaded, are non-returnable

Marketplace Items

Items purchased from the New & Used Marketplace are non-returnable

Marked Items

Products clearly marked “non-returnable” cannot be accepted for returns

Items marked as “non-returnable” are provided via third-party vendor that does not allow product returns

Special Items

Variants and bulk purchases made online cannot be returned to stores

Electronic Products Special Requirements

Electronic returns such as Compact Discs, DVDs, Video Games, and Consumer Electronics (headphones, speakers, etc.) must be sealed in original package unless defective
