Allbirds Return, Refund, and Exchange Policy
Return Policy
30-Day Trial Period
Allbirds offers a 30-day trial period where customers can return or exchange their shoes for free with no questions asked, even if they’ve worn them out in the wild. Items must be returned within 30 days from the date your order was delivered.
Return Conditions
- Items must be unworn and unwashed with original product tags attached
- For socks and undies, packaging must be unopened
- Full Price and Excess styles can be returned within 30 days
- Accessories must be unworn and in their original packaging
Final Sale Items (Non-Returnable)
Final Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged, including:
- Gift cards
- Insoles
- Items tagged as final sale on the website and in retail stores
- Sales for Imperfect Styles (except Tree Breezers)
Gift Returns
Gifts can be returned within 30 days using the order number found on the shipping label or the back of the gift note.
Exchange Policy
Exchange Eligibility
- Customers can exchange their shoes for free within the 30-day trial period
- Same conditions apply as returns (unworn, unwashed, with original tags)
- Exchanges must be done in the country of purchase
Exchange Process
- Online exchanges through the returns portal at allbirds.com
- In-store exchanges at Allbirds retail locations
- Outlet purchases can only be returned at outlet locations
Refund Policy
Refund Terms
- Refunds will only be applied to the original form of payment
- Returns/exchanges can only be done in the country of purchase
- If you purchased Allbirds items at another retailer, you’ll need to return the purchase to that retailer
Shipping Costs
- Customers are responsible for return shipping charges
- Paid shipping fees will not be refunded

- Select your country
- Have your shipping zip code and order number ready (found in your Allbirds Order Confirmation email)
- Follow the guided return process
In-Store Process
- Online purchases can be returned or exchanged at Allbirds retail stores
- Visit any Allbirds store location
Sustainability Commitment
Allbirds never resells shoes that have been scuffed or worn outside. Lightly used or like new shoes are donated to their partner, Soles4Souls, who distributes them to people in need.

Anti-Fraud Measures
Allbirds’ consumer rights and policies are intended solely for end consumers, not for those purchasing products for resale. Purchasing products for resale or engaging in fraudulent activities is strictly prohibited.
Company Rights
If Allbirds determines that a purchase involves fraudulent activity or demonstrates a high return rate, they reserve the right to:
- Suspend policy benefits intended for direct-to-consumer purchases
- Restrict sales to any consumer
- Cancel orders
- Charge restocking fees
- Impose purchase quantity limits
- Decline to issue refunds or accept returns
- Suspend or close accounts
Allbirds reserves the right to limit, decline, or reject any sales, returns, and orders for any reason, without being liable for damages or costs, except for repaying any amount received from the customer.
